In December, Albina Asphalt’s Madras Terminal received the award for AEMA’s 2019 Excellence in Manufacturing. The AEMA Excellence in Manufacturing Award is presented to asphalt plants that meet or exceed AEMA’s requirements to demonstrate the best practices in all areas of manufacturing. Albina Asphalt has met these measurements of best practices, demonstrating good corporate citizenship, and outstanding community-friendly operations.
Who is AEMA?
The Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA) is an international non-profit trade association of asphalt emulsion producers and sellers. Founded in 1973, AEMA has been promoting the increased and efficient use of asphalt emulsions. With their website, seminars, and publications, AEMA brings state-of-the-art asphalt emulsion technology and news to their members and the world. The AEMA Excellence in Manufacturing Award was introduced in 2018 and recognizes manufacturing facilities that exceed their requirements.
